Hugo Boss is a famous clothing line that launched the first collection for kids, just last year, for the spring-summer 2009 season. The clothing line for children start from age 4 to 16 for boys and girls.
I admire that Hugo Boss is not afraid to use black for children’s clothes proeminently in it’s collections. It makes it fun to wear and the combination of models and fabrics eliminate the sobriety in children’s clothes that parents often avoid.
The Spring/Summer 2010 collection for children is made in collaboration with the French Licensing Partener C.W.F. (Children WorldWide Fashion) and has two lines for girls and four lines for boys (we all know Hugo Boss is more renowned for being a menswear brand anyway).
Girls can choose out of the Premium Line or the Fashion Line. The Premium Line has an elegant and sophisticated look, streight down from the runway. It’s elegance and rafinement stands in the power of details, slim-fitting cuts and clean lines. The Fashion Line mixes the elegance with the casual. Neutral colours and bright ones are mixed together in products made of a combination of cotton, linen and lyocell. A more personal touch can be seen in products with the BOSS monogram.
Boy, oh boy! Four proposals are made for boys in the spring summer 2010 collection.
The Premium Line is simply elegant. The look is as modern as it is inspired by old school glamour. Here’s where black and it’s derivates play important roles once more definying Hugo Boss style.Wool, woven cotton or cotton twill, from knitwear to satin lycra adapted fit jeans, with a perfect touch of blue. What more can you ask for?
Another proposal is the Fashion Line. This is fresh, casual, modern. Style comes on the wings of music. We can see prints inspired by the musical industry, powerful messages on t-shirts combined with bermudas. Here, black comes in the company of grey, white, neutral tones and a jungle green.
Boys also have the Lifestyle Line. Taking fashion from the runway down to the streets. Best materials combined with a sporty look make this a more playful look. Once again, orange plays an important role and we can definetly put the center of attention on brown leather jackets.Washed slim or loose jeans complete the outfit with t-shirts with all kind of interesting image prints.
Sport HighTech Line is for the more active and bold.Car racing, golf and sailing are key motives for this line. Fresh yellow brightens up the clothes ruled once more by black and gray. This collection says energy and nothing say energy more than children.
Check out their men and women collections as well. You can definetly see the inspiration there and congratulate Hugo Boss for being able to miniature clothes and addapt them to children’s world.
